WHO I AM
Andrew is a Boston based singer-songwriter and acoustic performance artist. Born and raised outside of Springfield, MA, Andrew has been writing his own music since he first learned how to play the piano at the age of five. After dabbling with accordion and bass, he eventually received his first six-string electric guitar for Christmas at the age of 11. He would buy his first acoustic guitar with his own saved money just a few months later. earning how to perform by writing and playing his favorite songs, Andrew would begin doing live shows during his high school and college tenures. Upon graduating from Emerson College with a degree in Media Communications, Andrew — now free from his studies — committed himself full time to writing, recording, singing and performing live.
As time went by Andrew began to expand both his original and cover song repertoire, and now, he has over 100 songs (and counting) ready to play at any given time. He has since become a major fixture in the Greater Boston music scene, hosting his own weekly open mic at Terry O’Reilly’s Irish Pub in Newton, MA and constantly performing his own solo shows throughout all of New England.
On November of 2013, Andrew released his first full-length demo LP entitled “Minor Love Key.” The debut contains fifteen tracks of original material written and performed by Andrew and is now sold on Amazon.Com, iTunes, and Bandcamp. It’s also streaming on Spotify as we speak!
Andrew listens to about 5 albums a day and has too many voices he’s trying to imitate at a time to accurately describe what his music sounds like. But in circumstances that involve a gun being pointed to his head or him trying to fill empty space on a website biography , he’ll describe it as “acoustic, pretty sad but very melodic, tightly constructed, pop-rock, balladish pseudo folk tunes…sort of.”
Andrew says thanks for listening and also =D.
